I AM A WRITER, EDITOR, AND ACTOR

I am an experienced writer and editor, with both a B.A. and an MFA in Writing. I have written articles for a local newspaper, grants and reports for a community wind ensemble, and movie reviews for my personal blog. My portfolio also includes creative pieces such as short stories and novel-length works of fiction. My superb editing skills were most beneficial as a technical editor for a military contractor, a position which required confidentiality and the utmost attention to detail.

I am also adept at familiarizing myself with each organization’s needs, gearing all written documents to the target audience, and writing/editing in the appropriate style. The success of my editing roles has thoroughly depended on my adherence to specific formatting, as well as grammatical, syntactical, etc. guidelines. My advanced written and verbal communication skills have ensured that the message is delivered clearly for specific audiences. In addition, my strong interpersonal skills have allowed me to work with a variety of people, both in person and remotely.

I am also an experienced actor, having performed primarily with community theatre organizations and at a wide variety of venues in the Rhode Island/Eastern Connecticut region. Special skills include proficiency in line memorization and musical ability (flute and piccolo).
